Storytime & Art Cart at Cottage Grove Service Center

Join us in singing, talking, reading, writing, and playing at this inclusive, welcoming storytime for families at the Cottage Grove Service Center, 13000 Ravine Parkway South, Cottage Grove, starting at 10:30 a.m. Note: Due to election activities, storytime will temporarily meet in the cafeteria space adjacent to the library instead of the main corridor.

This storytime focuses on concepts such as life skills, emotions, community, family, and kindness. Storytime is your opportunity to meet new friends and strengthen early literacy skills. Activities during and after storytime are designed to strengthen fine and large motor skills. Grown-ups are expected to actively participate alongside the children they bring (modeling is one of the best ways to influence behavior). Please limit discussion between grown-ups until storytime has finished. This storytime is recommended for developmental ages birth to 8 and their grown-ups.

Art Cart immediately follows storytime. Children and their grown-ups are encouraged to make art together. All activities are focused on fine motor development.

Registration is not required.
