Opening Spring 2027
Cedarhurst is a Neoclassical Greek Revival mansion built in 1868, originally the home of Cordenio and Mary Severance. Cordenio Severance was a Minnesota-born lawyer who served as president of the American Bar Association, and the estate historically hosted notable guests, including presidents Theodore Roosevelt, William Taft, Warren G. Harding, and Calvin Coolidge.
St. Paul-based event company Bellagala purchased the mansion and is restoring it as the newest addition to their venue portfolio, with an opening planned for spring 2027. The estate sits on 13 acres of landscaped grounds. The restoration is centered on preserving the mansion’s historic rose garden, with a planned 4,000-square-foot glass atrium addition overlooking the garden to connect indoor and outdoor event space. Bellagala had briefly stepped back from the project in late 2025 due to historic preservation and mechanical challenges before moving forward again.
