Three Ways to Cool Off in Cottage Grove
As the temperatures rise, we know that Minnesotans are itching to get out and get on (or in!) the water. Luckily, we’ve put together some activities here in Cottage Grove to do just that!
Paddle Boats
The Highlands Park pond has a paddle boat that is free to use from sunrise to sunset every day! The boat can fit two paddlers in the front and two paddlers in the back. A black container nearby holds life jackets to keep paddlers safe during use. The boat has no lifeguards, so make sure to exercise caution during your ride.
Splash Pad
Also at Highlands Park is the popular and free splash pad. The splash pad is a great place to bring the kids to burn some energy and have a great time!
The city also hosts some fun-filled pop-up splash pad events throughout the summer. Bring the kiddos to cool off under the spray of a fire truck. Follow us on social media @DiscoverCottageGrove to be in the know of pop-up splash pad dates that may occur.
