Have a kiddo heading off to kindergarten this fall? Join us for Camp Kindergarten at The Little Village!

Kindergarten can be scary for little learners, especially if they’ve been home with Mom or Dad up until now. I know our daughter was nervous and feeling all the feels before she began kindergarten; so, we wanted to create something special to help ease the transition.

Enter Camp Kindergarten: a 3-day drop-off camp (2-hours each day) that gives kids a glimpse of what school will be like. They’ll spend time learning from a K-6 teacher, making new friends, and playing together.

Each camper will take home a special pencil bracelet they create on the last day, and a first day of school pennant for those first-day photos.

A light snack of Goldfish or apple sauce along with water or milk is included.

Note: This is a drop-off camp (parents may leave, or are welcome to hang out up front or outside on the patio).

Schedule:

• 9-10:15 am: Teacher-Led Learning Activities
• 10:15 am: Story & Snack Time
• 10:30 am: Recess (play time)

Meet Our Camp Kindergarten Teacher, Mrs. Jocelyn! “I have my Master’s in Educational Psychology and have been a classroom teacher in every grade level from Kindergarten to third grade. I’ve spent the most years teaching Kindergarten and it’s my favorite! I taught at both public and private schools in southern Colorado before welcoming our two young boys. Now, I create educational videos for IXL Learning while spending most days playing with my toddlers!”
