Berry Nice to See You Again!

The Cottage Grove Strawberry Fest is back and better than ever! Strawberry Fest is a four-day, family focused event that offers something for everyone! Enjoy delicious food, fantastic bands, carnival rides and activities and much, much more! From June 16-19, there will be tons of events for the kids, the parents, the grandparents and even the furry family to enjoy! Don’t believe us? See for yourself some of the amazing events and contests that will be happening below. 

Medallion Hunt

Begins Monday, June 13 | 8 a.m.

Discover Cottage Grove is excited to announce that we are sponsoring the Strawberry Fest medallion hunt! The hunt begins June 13 at 8 a.m. Clues will be posted at Cottage Grove City Hall at 8 a.m. and to Discover Cottage Grove’s Facebook page at 10 a.m. each morning. Winners with a Strawberry Fest button receive a $300 cash prize and those without receive $250. Buttons are available at City Hall in the Public Safety lobby for $5. Carnival

Thursday, June 16 | 4–10 p.m.
Friday, June 17 | 2­–11 p.m.
Saturday, June 18 | 11 a.m.–11 p.m.

The Carnival has all your favorite rides and games. Ride tickets are available for presale here. 

Kids Tractor Pull

Thursday, June 16 | 5:30 p.m.

This fast-growing sport of Pedal Pulling returns to Strawberry Fest in 2022! Kids ages 4-11 compete against kids from their own age group. Each child will receive a participation ribbon for their efforts in the pedal pull. Free to all participants!

Talent Show & Cottage Grove Sings

Thursday, June 16 | 7 p.m.

Get ready to sing and dance your heart out and show us your most spectacular talents! The finalists at Cottage Grove Sings will move on to the state competition. YES! There’s still time to sign up!

Strawberry Fields Marketplace

Friday, June 17 | 4-9 p.m. and Saturday, June 18 | 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Distilled
Friday, June 17 | 5-7 p.m. 
Distilled is a 6-piece cover band playing rock, alternative rock and today’s best dance hits.  They’ve got music for everyone!

Mojo Monks
Friday, June 17 | 8 p.m. to midnight
The MoJo Monks are a 5-piece, female fronted and energetic party band!  They play a variety of music including Classic Rock, Pop and Modern Country that everyone is sure to love.

Elvis Tribute Artist Art Kistler & the EP Boulevard Band
Saturday, June 18 | 4-6 p.m.
Art Kistler is an Elvis Tribute artist, formally trained vocalist and truly entertaining, high-energy performer with a real heart. The EP Boulevard performs every note live and in real time.

Stone Daisy
Saturday, June 18 | 8 p.m. to midnight
Stone Daisy will bring an all-out party to the Cottage Grove Strawberry Fest! With a powerful rhythm section and lush harmonies, Stone Daisy covers the best of country music and classic rock.

5K Run, 5K Walk and Kids 1K

Saturday, June 18 | 8 a.m.

The Strawberry Fest will have separate races for runners, walkers and for the kiddos, ensuring that everyone will have a great time at the race! T-shirts will be given to all racers. Medals will be given to the winner of each age category and all 1K participants get a medal. Register before the day of the event to save $5 on registration! 

Grande Day Parade

Saturday, June 18 | 10:30 a.m.

The parade starts at the corner of 80th and Jamaica and ends near Cottage grove Middle School. You won’t see another parade quite like this one all year! YES! There’s still time to be in the parade!

Midwest All-Star Wrestling (MAW)

Saturday, June 17, 12 p.m.

New to the Strawberry Fest this year! Watch live pro wrestling at this free MAW show. Bring your own lawn chair and get ready for a great show because WWE Hall of Famer “Mr. USA” Tony Atlas will be in attendance.

Who is Tony Atlas? 

“A former bodybuilder turned World Tag Team Champion turned WWE Hall of Famer, “Mr. USA” Tony Atlas is also one of the most influential and significant African-American Superstars in the history of sports-entertainment.” – WWE.com

The doors open at noon, and bell time is at 1 p.m.

Fireworks

Saturday, June 18 | 10:30 p.m.

The Strawberry Fest fireworks show is a highlight of the festival every year! Make sure to attend for a truly colorful and dazzling show!

Bean Bag Tournament

Saturday, June 18 | 1 p.m.

Warm up those throwing arms for the bean bag tournament! 32 teams will compete in double elimination to win the grand prize payout! YES! There’s still time to sign up!

Doggie Dash

Saturday, June 18 | 4 p.m.

Calling all hounds! Register your pooch for the 6th annual Doggie Dash! The three fastest four-legged friends will win a prize! YES! There’s still time to sign up!

Pet Show

Saturday, June 18 | 2 p.m.

This is not your typical pet show! Bring your dog, cat, hamster, hedgehog, rabbit, bird, or other pets to compete for fun categories like best costume, best trick, most creative name and most unique pet, just to name a few! YES! There’s still time to sign up!

Softball Tournaments

Saturday, June 18 | 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.

While registration for this event is onto the waitlist, you can still come and watch the show! Sixteen teams will be competing for cash prizes so it’s sure to be a great tournament!

*This event takes place at the Lamar Softball Complex – 7025 Lamar Avenue S. 

Pie Eating Contest

Saturday, June 18 | 1 p.m.

Eat your heart out in strawberries, whip cream and graham cracker crust! There are no age requirements for this event! Sign up on the day of the event at the Strawberry Fest information booth. 

Car Show

Saturday, June 18 | 1-4 p.m.

Come vintage, antique and classic cars! Six trophies and dash plaques for the first 50 registrants will be given out! YES! There’s still time to sign up!

Top Chef Contest

Friday, June 17 | 5 p.m.

The only requirement of this contest is that the dish contains strawberries! There are separate divisions for youth, juniors and adults! YES! There’s still time to register!
